Small Earthquake in Los Angeles

The ground just moved a little in LA! People at the Los Angeles International Airport report that there has been a small earthquake.  Luckily no damages or injured were reported.  Mostly, this was just a scare.

A preliminary report from the U.S Geological Survey says that the Los Angeles earthquake was of 3.2, centered on the airport runways.

No flights were delayed and everything got back to normal pretty quickly.

Honduras Earthquake!

Honduras earthquake - Today Honduras a strong Earthquake was felt in Honduras.  It occurred late in the night, at 3:24am, taking people by surprise and causing initial alarm. This was a very strong earthquake that has left 3 people dead for now.  Its magnitude was 7.1!

One man died of a heart attack and the other victims are children, one of 15 years old and the other 3 years old. Sad news for Honduras. The strong earthquake caused shacks to fall apart and building walls to crack. In San Pedro Sula for example, workers had to evacuate buildings with cracks as they would probably collapse.

Earthquake May 19 2009 - Today, May 19 2009 an Earthquake shook California/ Los Angeles.  This Earthquake took place just a day and half after another one shook La in Sunday.  Here is more data on today’s earthquake:

Mexico City Earthquake

Mexico City Earthquake - a strong earthquake has been felt today on Mexico City, it had a magnitude of 5.6 and caused a prompt evacuation of buildings. It was situated about 50 miles from Acapulco.

So far, authorities aren’t reporting damages or injuries to both buildings and people.  Let’s hope nothing of this nature occurs, Mexico is having a tough time with swine flu already.

Like in every earthquake, many people ended up scared.  The movement was intensified because the city was built on a former lake bed.
