Amanda Rodrigues Gatti in Custody

Amanda Rodrigues Gatti has been taken in custody, after she became ne of the suspects of the murder of his husband, boxer Arturo Gatti. Yesterday we reported that the circumstances of death were not clear, today we know that he was strangled with a woman’s purse.

The Gatti couple went supposedly to Brazil to celebrate a second honeymoon with their child.

The investigators immediately thought that his wife was involved in his murder, as there were no clear signs of death.  After further  investigations, they found out that Amanda Rodrigues Gatti gave contradicting testimony, which lead them to take her in custody.

Arturo Gatti was 37 years old, and he had to testify next week for a boxing weigh-in problem in 2000.

Greg Page Dies

Greg Page, former heavyweight champion in boxing has died today at the age of 50. Her wife Patricia Page found him in his bed in the morning.  According to her, Greg Page died of complications brought by the damage he suffered in a fight in 2001 that left him with brain damage.

Let’s remember that after this fight with Dale Crowe, Greg Page was in come for about a week, and then he was partially paralyzed.

Dale Crowe helped him and they became friends, even arranging events for fundraising for Page’s treatment. Crowe is currently in jail for beating and strangling a friend in 2006.

Funeral arrangements for Greg Page are pending.
