Lucy Vodden | Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds

Lucy Vodden is the woman who inspired the popular Beatles’ song “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”, she is on the news after rediscovering friendship with John’s Lennon son Julian Lennon.

This week, USA Today reported that Lennon approached Vodden after finding out she is suffering from Lupus.

“Julian got in touch with me out of the blue, when he heard how ill I was, and he said he wanted to do something for me,”

Although many people though that Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds was a song about the initials: LSD, John Lennon always said that this was about a drawing Julian brought home when he was a child, when Lennon asked what it was, young Julian said it was “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” referring to Lucy Vodden his classmate.

How wonderful that Julian is helping Lucy Vodden!
