Longtime CNN journalist, Margaret Moth, died today after a hard battle against colon cancer. CNN said she was hospitalized since September 2009, but she had been struggling with cancer for around 3 years.

During her life she had to deal with terrible things,. One time, she was shot in the head while she was in Sarajevo, and miraculously the bullet went through her jaw. Later , she had to deal with hepatitis C.

After her near death experiences, Margaret Moth said in an interview: “Dying of cancer, I would have liked to think I’d have gone out with a bit more flair.”
