David Prowse, the actor who portrayed Darth Vader in the legendary Star Wars original saga, has been banned from attending banned from attending events and conventions by George Lucas and Lucas Film.

Prowse was the actor who we actually saw on the screen, the voice of Vader was, however, recorded by actor James Earl Jones. He gave perhaps the most difficult part of interpreting a character through gesture and actions. This is what David Prowse posted on his website:

“After enquiring, the only thing I have been told is that I have ‘burnt too many bridges between Lucas Film and myself’ – no other reason given.”

Prowse and Lucas have been distanced already for a while.  Rumors out there said that this was dispute originated because Lucas though or probably found out that Prowse leaked the death of Darth Vader prior to Return of the Jedi release.  Prowse on the other hand claims the studio still owes him money from the same movie.

Well, according to source close to the actor, he has been left devastated by his ban.  There are other rumors out there that he was banned because he was very annoying with George Lucas.  What do you think?
