Oliver Purnell, coach for the Clemson Tigers, is now heading to work on DePaul. Purnell, 56, is an experienced coach who has taken Clemson to 3 NCAA tournament appearances. And has a 138-90 record in seven seasons.

De Paul fired Jerry Wainwright in the middle of the season, so Purnell will have some difficult work ahead.

“DePaul presents a great opportunity,” said Purnell  “It’s a super job. They are very, very committed to restoring a tradition and make DePaul Chicago’s team.”
