American Idol contestant, Crystal Bowersox has been taken to the hospital after having some health issues. This event has caused a change of plans in the American idol show schedule.

On Tuesday, instead of girls singing, boys will be performing live on the popular TV show. Bowersox is expected to come back to the show to perform alongside female competitors on Wednesday. A show insider used the words “serious health issues” to describe the current Crystal Bowersox situation.

Bowersox impressed the judges last show with her performance of “Hand in my Pocket”, a hit song by Alanis Morrisette. This is the statement issued by Fox:

“Due to medical issues which would prevent Crystal Bowersox from performing tonight, the 10 male semifinalists will perform this evening, and the 10 female semifinalists will perform tomorrow night.”
