Larry Gelbart Dies at 81
Larry Gelbart, writer from the TV show MASH has died at the age of 81. Gelbart was a profuse writer whose work also included Broadway plays and movies, like “Tootsie” and “A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Forum”.
Jack Lemmon once said that Larry Gelbart was:
“one of the greatest writers of comedy to have graced the arts in this century.”
He was diagnosed with cancer in June and died in his home at Beverly Hills. Rest in peace Larry Gelbart.
