Man Slaps Child in Walmart! There has been an incident in an Atlanta Wal-Mart, where a man slapped a 2 year old girl because she won’t stopped crying! The man, Roger Stephens, who is 61-years-old, first complained to the mother:

“If you don’t shut the baby up, I will shut her up for you.”

Since the child continued to cry, the man slapped the child 4 times, saying:

“See I told you I would shut her up.”

Roger Stephens has been arrested on charges of cruelty to children. CNN reported that when he was arrested he apologized to the mother. WTF??!!

    If anyone slapped one of my children, I’d have probably been arrested too because I’d have kicked him in the groin and them whapped him up alongside the head with my 10-pound purse. What nerve! How does slapping a 2-year old make her STOP crying? Two-year olds are still babies, and sometimes they get fussy - it happens and people need to get over it and move on. He deserved to be arrested for felony child abuse and for assault. I hope he is suitably punished and not just slapped on the wrist! Child abuse is a crime, and many courts are way too lenient on the abusers. I know this from experience since I lost my oldest grandson a little over a year ago when his father and step-mother tied him to a tree for 20 hours in 100+ degree heat and he died. My grandson was given the death penalty for “disobedience”, and his abusers got 8 years (him) and 10 years (her) in jail for that - big deal. We need to send people who abuse children a stronger message than that!

    I am a single parent (male) and I know if somebody slapped my child, I’d knock them out. I think that corperal punishment is marginally OK, but I choose not to use this form of punishment. That is MY choice, but if someone hit my child, GOD help ‘em.
    My youngest daughter (now 9) had medical issues and did cry. I would try to calm her down, but sometimes she would cry for extended periods of time. And if someone is that . . .well, I can’t even think of anything to call them, except extremely reude, and in need of mental health.

    i would have beat his ass or died trying!!!! finding out that he was mental would have been an after thought and then in anger and i’m protecting my child!!!!! i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t have cared!!!!! i would be in jail point balnk.
