Disney Buys Marvel! Yes, today The Walt Disney Co. announced that there is an agreement to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion! Disney President and Chief Executive said:

“We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation,”

This way, Disney gets access to the whole catalogue of characters in the Marvel Universe (around 5k!).  Will Disney be able to take advantage of it? Marvel could benefit from the experience of Disney in cinema and TV.  What do you think?
