What is the Angelman Syndrome?
The Angelman Syndrome is a neuro-genetic disorder that makes the patient frequently laugh or smile, flap hands, it brings developmental delay, trouble sleeping. It has come to news lately after it was known that Colin Farrell’s son James suffer from this disorder.
In previous years it was known as the “happy puppet syndrome”, but this term now is considered stigmatizing.
There is no cure available nowadays for the Angelman Syndrome. Only medications are used to control convulsions.
