Tropical Storm Claudette has formed off the northern Gulf Coast of Florida. It became a named storm after the winds increased to 40 mph. The storm is expected to make landfall this evening.

If you are in the are, you have to prepare for the upcoming storm.  Specialists urge people to get flashlights, water and batteries just in case. We’ll give you more updates on the Tropical storm Claudette status when The Hurricane Center releases more info at 2p.m. EDT.
