Whole Foods BOYCOTT!

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey has sparked controversy with a piece he wrote for the Wall Street Journal that criticizes heavily Obama’s health care bill.  This has prompted a call for a Whole Food Boycott! So, what did Mackey wrote?

“The last thing our country needs is a massive new health-care entitlement that will create hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system,”

“A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter …. This ‘right’ has never existed in America.”

Long time customers of Whole Foods are now disgusted with the way Mackey thinks, so people have found out that the best way to show their unconformity is by hurting the wallet of big CEOs!

What’s your take?

I’m sick of being spat on by evil, greedy CEOs. So, I’m boycotting Whole Paycheck until Mackey is gone and until they support single payer. Healthcare is a right.

OH… you wanna talk reckless? Not a problem. I won’t spend another dime in Whole Foods more people can afford to shop at Whole Foods then you think.. enough to pull their money and spend it at Trader Joe’s and make your company feel it, sense Whole foods obviously supports your views on health care and does not seem to mind you speaking for the entire company. Pimp Daddy Mack!

Hey I just want to let people know that John Mackey opinion on health care is his personal opinion not the opinion of Wholefoods staff or management….I think anybody considering a boycott should think about how Wholefoods contributes to local communities which is more than I can say for most corporations. I believe the individuals involved in organizing this aleged boycott have other political interest and probably are vested in a union on some level.. All that negitive energy should be spent doing something postive about healthcare, and focus on helping in other more constructive ways….
