Allen Shellenberger, drummer and founding member of the popular rock band Lit died yesterday after a long battle with brain cancer. He was only 39 years old.

Last year, Shellenberger was diagnosed with this type of cancer, and he started chemotherapy and radiation treatments at the Cedars-Sinai Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute.

Unfortunately, these treatments aren’t a safe bet to survive cancer and leave people weak, sad and still with the cancer! Our thoughts go to his family. He has one daughter, Giovanna Mackey.

Rest in Peace Allen!
