Michael Scott Speicher
Michael Scott Speicher was an F-18 pilot that was shot down in 1991 in the first day of the Gulf War. For many years, his fate was a mystery, until last week, when his remains were positively identified. The Defense Department said:
“The Iraqi citizens led U.S. Marines to the site who searched the area. Remains were recovered over several days during the past week and flown to Dover Air Force Base for scientific identification,”
Scott Speicher left his wife and two children. Who are grateful the search never ended despite all those years. Now they may also be more in peace at least by knowing what really happened to Scott.
