Gates 911 Call | Gates Tapes

The Cambridge police department has made public the Gates 911 call tapes. These are tapes linked to the arrest of Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. As you may know Louis Gates was arrested in July 16.

On the gates tapes there are no initial references of race, only “two gentlemen”, but then the dispatcher asks “Are They white, black or Hispanic?”
