Madoff in Butner Federal Prison
Bernie Madoff has been transferred to Butner Federal Prison, after receiving his sentence of 150 years (a nice way to put a number to life). This prison is located 30 miles north of Raleigh.
Madoff gets this way a nice treatment after making a huge amount of dollars illegally. Butner prison is considered one of the best places to serve a sentence. This is a place to house minimum security immates. The Business Insider even calls it “The Crown Jewel” of the prison system!
However, Madoff will surely have some rough times. Currently there are 3600 immates in there including some high profiled ones!
