Disney Monorail Crash - Today, at 2 a.m. after the 4^th of July celebrations, two monorails at Walt Disney World crashed into each other, ending with the life of one of the drivers. The accident took place near Magic Kingdom Transportation and Ticket Center.

Reports say that there were also six other people with light injuries.  The colors of the monorails were pink and purple.

There is an amateur video taken shot at the scene of the crash.  We can see people starting to look for the driver of the monorail.  The video cuts when security asks the cameraman to leave.  Check the video here.

Walt Disney World issued the following statement:

“Today, we mourn the loss of our fellow cast member. Our hearts go out to his family and to those who have lost a friend and co-worker. The safety of our guests and cast members is always our top priority. The monorail is out of service and we will continue to work closely with law enforcement to determine what happened and the approximate next steps.” — Mike Griffin, Walt Disney World Vice President of Public Affairs
