Bernie Madoff Sentencing | Madoff Veredict
Madoff Sentencing - Bernie Madoff has been sentenced for a total of 150 years for being the mind responsible of the biggest Ponzi scheme. Today Madoff was present in court, the first time since this year’s March 12 when he pleaded guilty.
Madoff, who is 71 years old, said to the judge:
“I don’t ask for any forgiveness,”
Adding that he deceived his sons, his brothers and his wife, who were not present during the sentencing. He pleaded guilty to mail fraud, wire fraud, investment adviser fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, perjury, false filings, false statements and theft from an employee benefit plan.
