Joseph Brooks Craigslist Rape
Joseph Brooks, songwriter and director of “You Light Up My Life” has been accused of rape, apparently he sexually assaulted women after they answered a Craigslist post for acting auditions. Joseph Brooks is 71 years old.
Robert Morgenthau is the District Attorney in charge of the case, he says that 9 women answered the audition post that required women for acting roles. The victims in total are 11. Brooks, you may remember, won the Oscar in 77 for Best Song: “You Light Up My Life”.
Brooks hasn’t spoken yet, but his attorney states that “there will be lengthy arguments”
