According to the Miss California page:
Born in Medford and raised on a farm in Phoenix, Oregon, Tami Farrell was considered by many to be a tomboy. As the first girl to play on an all-boys baseball team, she had a difficult time fitting in. She silenced her detractors with a game-winning grand slam in the final game of the season.
She also won Miss Oregon teen USA in 2003, and then Miss Teen USA in the same year, she is the first ever youth spokesperson for the American Heart Association.
On a personal note, I find her to be prettier than Carrie Prejean. What do you think?
