Koko Taylor Death | Coco Taylor Dies
Blues legend Koko Taylor (often misspelled Coco Taylor) passed away today at the age of 80. The Chicago blues woman was recovering from gastrointestinal surgery. A spokesman from Alligator Records spoke to the Chicago Tribune:
“She was recovering slowly but surely, and then she had a real bad night,”
Her last performance was on May 7 at the blues Music Awards, where she sang perhaps her most popular song: Wang Dang Doodle.
