Miss USA Controversy – The Miss California controversy debate continues on USA. It all started when contestant Carrie Prejean answered a question by Perez Hilton.
“Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not? “
She responded:
“I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”
Perez Hilton didn’t like the answer and later on he made a response video with some offensive Words. Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler condemned Prejean’s declaration. Prejean on the other hand think her beliefs cost her the crown. In the end Miss USA crown was given to Kristen Dalton.
While we may not agree with Miss Cali’s stance, I think we shouldn’t forget that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Condemning someone for thinking differently lacks of any trace of tolerance. Prejean still stands by her answer. The debate is on! What do you think?
