GM Segway PUMA – Today the new PUMA was revealed, made by GM and Segway.  This happened on a press conference given by Larry Burns (GM) and Jim Norrod (Segway).  This is a vehicle that seeks to redefine the meaning of transportation.

The GM Segway PUMA has two wheels and is different from the traditional Segway we’ve seen everywhere. The steering wheel is more regular ¡, and although the model we’ve seen today accelerates like the previous model, the company is working on replacing this for an accelearation system using buttons just like in a videogame.

GM on the other part wants to give the car more security and efficiency.  The GM Segway PUMA will be able to communicate with other cars and will have the ability to sense pedestrians, stopping the car.  Later on this year, they plan to test it on the road, used by humans, once it is more safe, and then they will begin working on the styles of the GM Segway PUMA because folks, this is just the chassis.
