Pistachio Recall! Salmonella Danger!

Pistachio recall – 1 million pounds of pistachio are being recalled by a company because there is a danger of salmonella outburst. Right now the source of contamination is being investigated, food safety officials are investigating Setton Farms’ plant.

The pistachio recall was initiated on Friday by the Georgia Nut Company wanting to get back the Kraft Back to Nature Nantucket Blend, after tests gave positive to salmonella.

Right now there are now illnesses reported, but since the test gave positive, the only way to go is to make effective the pistachio recall.

According to the FDA this pistachio recall has nothing to do with the peanut butter recall that happened recently, although both were related to salmonella. The best thing to do now is avoid eating pistachios for now until the FDA knows what products are affected.

We’ll be developing more news about the pistachio recall.
