Whitestone Bridge Traffic
Whitestone Bridge Traffic - New York, there is a major mess at Whitestone Bridge as traffic is closed after an MTA contractor truck driver ran over a sign and knocked over supports, thus blocking the six lanes. This happened today at 1PM EST. The zone, is heavily jammed and it is hell on the Throgs Neck Bridge.
According to some people on the site, the traffic is being rerouted to the Robert F. Kennedy bridge, and other traffic is being routed to the Bruckner Expressway. A lot of job for traffic workers!! Luckily the incident has no people with injuries. MTA shows this update on their site about the Whitestone bridge traffic:
Following an earlier incident, train service has resumed with residual delays.
Due to the closure of the Whitestone Bridge, the Q44 and QBX1 buses will be detoured in both directions.
Please expect delays in service on the Q44 and QBX1 buses.
In addition, due to ongoing signal problems at the 15th Street-Prospect Park Station, please expect delays in service on the Coney Island-bound trains at this time.
