Dylan Ratigan CNBC: He Quits!
Dylan Ratigan CNBC - The anchor of CNBC’s Fast Money, The Call and Closing Bell, Dylan Ratigan, is quitting the network after a conflict with the VP for strategic programming and development, Susan Krakower. Both of them were the mind behind the creation of Fast Money.

Page Six, says that you can hear Ratigan speak during a taped commercial break. This happened last summer:
“Don’t ask me to talk about every [bleep]ing e-mail that comes up on the screen. I’m not going to host a [bleep]ing TV show that consists of reading [bleep]ing e-mails to [bleep]ing traders.” He then addresses Susan Krakower of never addressing his concerns privately. “You know what, Susan, I’m in the middle of hosting a show right now, so now is an unwelcome time to hear your voice . . . If you want to pull me off the show, please do,” he roars. “[You are] rude and disrespectful. . . . You lie to me routinely.”
Wow, it seems that they didn’t get along fine. According to some info today would be the last day of Dylan Ratigan in CNBC.
Those were the news on Dylan Ratigan CNBC.

Dylan was one of the only talking heads to begin to scratch the surface of the glaring fraud lying beneath the financial crisis. I felt as if his career was just starting to take off. He is by far the most intelligent and talented person on the air at CNBC. The rest seem to be money honeys and cheerleaders. If I had a network he would have a prime time hour to realy take it to the fraudsters of wallstreat. The truth needs to be exposed.

I just started to be a trader about 1 year ago and what drove me to start was watching the show hosted by Mr. Ratigan after work. Recoded the 5PM (EST) show everyday it was on and watched when I got home. I enjoyed his cander and how he continually expressed what needed to be done in our markets to be successful. Watching it now is not the same and would have to say it is somewhat lack luster without his take charge direction of Mr. Ratigan. Sorry to say that to me it appears now to be another typical TV show that goes through the motions of trying to keep an audience to be engaged for that hour.
Thanks
Walt

Dylan,
I have been wondering for a week. Where is Dylan? I first would like to say that the show is not the same. He was born to be on Fast Money. Watching him for the last three years has been a joy, but I must say I new he had a temper. I say that because at times he would treat his guests in a abrasive way. Dylan it is two late to give you any advice but there have been times in my life when I have lost my temper and said things I should not have. I made a rash decision and quit. You will regret as I do letting your temper get the best of you. You were on the top of the mountain at cnbc but like most of us you did know that at the time. I’m sure know that the dust has settled it will become clear to you the mistake you made.

I no longer watch “Fast Money” because Dylan Ratigan is not present. His message was clear, concise and truthful. I used to listen to CNBC throughout the day, now, I cannot turn it on. I agree with the other people that have written in, there are very few news people that are willing to tell the truth. Now, the best are gone.

Fast Money WAS one of my “must watch” shows. I looked forward to it daily. When Dylan was off a day or so I would watch but looked forward to his return. Although I admire the traders, without Dylan the show does not feel the same. His dynamic is obviously missing. I find that I am no longer engaged. Now that I know he will no longer be hosting I doubt I’ll be watching nearly as much.

Sorry to see him leave…the show is largely disminished without him. He’s the only one in broadcasting that understands what he’s talking about!

Dylan was the heart of Fast Money and the program is just not the same without him. His candor, wit, and intelligence were without equal. I miss him and hope he surfaces as host of another finacial program. Without Dylan, I’m no longer eager to tune in to Fast Money.

I CAN’T BELIEVE HE IS GONE. HE WAS DYNAMIC, ALWAYS ALERT, WITTY AND TOGETHER. I’M SURE THE JOB WAS HORRIBLY STRESSFUL. I LIKED THE WAY HE WAS IN CHARGE, WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR, COULD BE COUNTED ON TO LET EVERYONE HAVE A TURN, YET WAS ON TOP OF ALL THE STORIES

Like many I have been wondering where Dylan was for the past few weeks. The show is not the same caliber when he is not there and I believe in asking the tough questions Dylan put himself out on a branch. I will certainly miss you Dylan. On a personal note, Fox Business needs all the help they can get, and I ma sure they would jump at the opportunity to land such a seasoned veteran.

I didn’t know he quit until I checked. He was sooooo annoying. Now I can keep cnbc tuned in…Lets add some more hotties!

I have been painfully asking myself, “Where the hell is Dylan?” I love the original crew all together. I realize they covered for each other with Mr. Pretty hair, and the oil pit guru, when breaks were needed. The last time I saw Dylan live, he looked pale and stressed, then he was gone…I thought he might be sick or something. He has swagger and overgrown opinions and calls it like he sees it. He will end up with his own show soon, boy can he “spew”…the (wax poetic). Fast Money was the best show on TV on any channel, the Sportscenter for the markets. We all have to hope he gets back to work soon. Don’t sell out Dylan, and your next gig will be even stronger. God Bless

I hate the thought of Dyan not being on CNBC. He was the clear voice for the common person on the street. He had a way of cutting through the confusion and state it in words that all of us could understand. They ought to fire who ever was responsible for this. I hope he starts his own show. I would watch it because of Dylan. Good luck. We will all miss you.

ive been watching cnbc for 11 years and have gotten used to new people and or changes. But I can’t get used to dylan being gone michelle Lee doesn’t fit and even maria was better with dylan no reason to watch fast money anymore

CNBC has lost a gem in Dylan, and I too, will no longer watch. By the way, Michelle Lee can’t cut it to replace
Dylan. I will miss Dylan’s style and lack of fear of government officials.

My husband and I watched Fast Money regularly because Dylon made it fascinating with his insight and clarity. No offense to the others but the show has lost most of its bite and we find ourselves skipping watching the show. Such a shame, Susan, any chance you two can get along!
Jack on May 4th, 2009
We will miss waiting for Dylon to “Give em Hell!! There are very few people on cable TV with enough moxie to do it. Too bad CNBC is no longer fair and unbiased. The company stock (GE) has suffered over the past year, in part, because of such unwise decisions.
Good luck to Dylon, wherever he is headed.

I used to look forward to Fast Money. Not anymore. The show is not the same without Dylan and I no longer watch it.

I enjoyed Fast Money With Ratigan. Huge loss. If it were not for Jeff Mackie I would not view the show. I thoroughly enjoyed Ratigan’s presence on CNBC. Huge loss.

The first time I ever read all the comments. I miss the show.

Dylan was without question one of the best interviewers on TV. How stupid can Susan be - he was one of the few personalities on TV that I enjoyed watching. He would ask the tough questions, but do it with class, and he would call a spade a spade when it was warranted.
Susan you must be one of the dumbest executives in the industry. You have ruined Fast Money - thanks a lot. Thanks a lot for showing your ass. You should probably go work for the government, you certainly qualify to work for the government with your incompetence.
Dylan, you were a class act and I truly hope we get to see you on the air very soon. I can’t begin to tell you how much I learned from your piercing questions and your pursuit of the facts on the show.
You will be missed more than you realize.
Sincerely,
Alan Breen

I’ve tried to watch Fast Money, but without Dillon, the info is NOT complete. The lady is OK, & do enjoy her on CNBC, but not as the lead of FAST MONEY. Must be more SPONTANEOUS to reality, Dillon had that.
Just don’t get too STUPID, & drop / fire Jim Cramer from Mad Money.!!!
2 months later: Now do you get it JEFF IMMELT.??? I know you have a double hands full Mr CEO but right this SHIP.
thx HF
Hugh Ferguson on June 2nd, 2009
Immelt, get to it & move / transfer / or even fire Susan. She must be a BLONDE……….
After two months, I just can’t watch Fast Money any longer.!!!

I have been watching Fast Money regularly for two years and learned a great deal, actually got to enjoy the idea of Trading. The show is not the same without Dylan and does not hold my interest, I find myself checking what else is on?
Good Luck Dylan, Thanks for three good years.

Like any coin, there are always two sides. To me, Dylan was the epitimy of professionalism. On a scale of 1-10, Dylan was a 10 and Ms. Lee is a 3 or maybe a 4. Sorry, but thats how I see it. Fast Money and the other programs Dylan appeared on were better because of his skill level. Hopefully, he will appear on another financial program (on another network)-be certain that I will be a listener and a learner.
cuz on June 17th, 2009
hopefully dylan will get with FOX on a financial program he will have 10 times more listeners than he did on CNBC

BRING DYLAN BACK FAST SO MAD MONEY CAN BE UNDERSTOOD, THERE SHOULD BE MORE DWELLING ON SUBJECT INORDER FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE TO GET PAST THE LOUD MOUTH HIGH VELOCITY BS THAT GOES ON, A LITTLE THINKING WOULD BE INORDER AND SOME DYLAN QUESTIONING WOULD SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE SCHIZO STOCK MARKET.

So disappointed with you CNBC! Obviously your head people have no common sense. I miss Dylan, if I find out he went to another station, I will be gone completely. Everything I know now about finance and the stock market I owe to Fast Money with all the original cast.
Oh my God, where is Jeff Mackie now?
See you CNBC……………

Dillion was the Brains of understanding financial
equations. He could explain it in ordinary terms. Producers, need to bring him back. People watched Fast Money because he was lightening quick with answers, and could pull information from other contributers. If Susan was the cause of this, you know what your ratings look like know. Melissa is a nice person, but not can not match Dillon Diamond approach. CNBC.. look at your mail for Dillon. Bring back Dillon. Sooner or later Dillon will have his own Financial Analysis. Fast Money was the program to watch, because of Dillon. That the bottom line.
George Gladding on August 12th, 2009
Dear Dillon-
I will try to make this short and brief, on regards to Pax trapped on airplanes for hrs. How can we begin think of making a bill of of rights for Pax when the American public only cares to fly as cheep as they can. the root of the problem stems form how we treat airline employees. Airline works are forced to fly 14-16 hrs a day with. with no food, and often not being paid either. If airlines were forced to have to pay employees form the moment they are required to be there and only able to work a normal work day . This would begin to solve a lot of the delays on the run way. Because airlines hold crew members hostage as well as passengers on the run way , and only when the duty day is about to expire then does the plan come back to the gate. or if your aircraft is held at the gate for hrs with out being able to get off then not even the crew members are being paid to be there . We have deplorable work conditions all in the name of cheap airfares!!! so until the american public is willing to Pay what it cost to fly from point A to B , and force the government to not make airline works work like a slave shop. these problems will continue!
sincerely
George Gladding ( Airline worker)

Hey good question.WHERE IS JEFF MACKIE lately.
He brought a lot of character to the Fast Money set along with Dylan..

Pratie/Himself on April 3rd, 2009
Dylan, you will be missed.
One of the few with the gumption to verbalize on the air the questions that those of us, that do not have the bully pulpit, are screaming at our televisions.
Thank you for your character and intergrity.
God bless you and your family.
