McCain on Letterman
McCain Appeared last night on Letterman after saying that it was a mistake failing to accept an invitation to the show three weeks ago. The presidential candidate also was confronted to a series of hard questions about him and Sarah Palin, the other figure of the Republican candidacy.
Letterman spoke, saying he was “willing to put this behind us,” but despite this, he shot some good bullets to McCain (in the form of questions of course!). Letterman asked McCain if Palin was his choice for vicepresident..
“Absolutely,” McCain answered.
David questioned McCain about the Sarah Palin declarations where she said that Obama was “palled around with terrorists,” and McCain backed her up, he said that this issue needed to be cleared by Obama, specially referencing his supposed relationship with former Weathermen activist Bill Ayers.
“Did you not have a relationship with Gordon Liddy?” Backfiring McCain
McCain said he knew him. Then, after a commercial break, McCain said, “I know Gordon Liddy. He paid his debt, he went to prison. … I’m not in any way embarrassed to know Gordon Liddy.”
Letterman appeared to ridicule McCain about the implication that Obama and Ayers had a relationship.
“Are they double-dating, are they going to dinner, what are they doing?” Letterman asked. “Are they driving across country?”
“Maybe going to Denny’s,” McCain said.
That’s all about McCain on Letterman.

Letterman at his very best!!! Especially in the 2nd half! Good to see that both -at least somewhat- kept their sense of humor in all of this though.
