St. Patrick’s Day 2008 Madness

Hello, and happy St. Patrick’s Day!

As you know today we celebrate this festivity for one of the patrons of Ireland with lots of people around the World.

In Boston, an estimated 1 million people are expected to be on the celebrations, breaking the last year’s record.

“It was a great parade. We are very happy with the way things turned out,” the organizer said. “Over a million people from all over the country came, the police told me.”

The music-filled parade was beautiful and it was great to see families having fun. At one point in the parade, came a special tribute from the Marines marching in honor of their late Rockland comrade, Lance Cpl. Walter “Gator” O’Haire, who was killed in Iraq a year ago.

People from all over the country and even from other countries gathered.

“We are having a great time. This is our first time here but we had some friends come and decided to come down. The atmosphere is great and my daughter is having a great time!” said Jared Williams who attended with his family.

No incidents were reported as this was a family. Those were the news on St. Patrick’s Day 2008.
