It’s time for the Calle Ocho Festival!  Yes, once again Miami gets filled with all that Latin flavour and this year the party is even bigger, because the festival turns 30 years old.

Salsa, merengue, Latin jazz, it’s all there! The streets are packed and the smell of delicious Latin food makes everybody happy.

Inside the festivals there are attractions for everyone; one of the most popular is the Old Spice Domino Tournament.  The Domino Pavilion entrance was crowded as people wanted to get into the contest, but the capacity was already full. The tournament aims to set a Guinness Record of most people playing a Domino Tournament.  I think they’ll easily reach it.

If you live in Miami and haven’t got the chance of enjoying some Latin party, this is the time.  It’s great fun, and the girls are hot! There will be great names performing on stage like Harry Connick Jr, Flo Rida, Wyclef Jean and Herbie Hancock.

Es tiempo de bailar y festejar!

Those were the news on Calle Ocho 2008.

WOW! Great picture it was completely packed. I think it was a huge success. The most important think is that the Latin community in Miami has the change to celebrate its most beloved traditions.
