David Archuleta, The American Idol Favorite

David Archuleta is gaining popularity very fast despite his weird last name. Why? Because he has become rapidly the favorite contestant of this year’s American Idol. He’s appeared on many websites and magazines from E Online, to MTV. Could this guy be the winner?

We can’t deny that he is gifted with a great voice, charisma and that presence that great singers have. This is the first time he appeared on TV on the American Idol audition:

David Archuleta is only 17, and had a paralysis problem but that’s not excuse if you really want to rock out in the stage!

Even New York magazine has given him a full articles explaining the reasons why this kid’s got what it takes:

1. He’s the cute one and the talented one.

2. He’s a guy without a gimmick.

3. He’s got a great sob story.

4. He’s pacing himself.

5. He was born to do this.

They actually have pretty good points there! I have to say his voice sounds natural and it’s different from most Justin-clones out there. What do you think of David Archuleta? Who’s your favorite American Idol contestant this year?
