American Idol Scandal - David Hernandez was a Stripper

I love American Idol, every year it brings its dose of useless scandal. This year’s contest has brought now three of these scandals now with David Hernandez as a stripper.

According to a strip-club manager in Phoenix, contestant Hernandez worked there, and not as a waiter. He used to take his clothes off. The “Dick’s Cabaret” manager Gordy Bryan told the press that David used to work as a male stripper, appearing fully nude and making lap dances mostly to male patrons.

Bryan say David Hernandez worked from 2004 to 2007.

“He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here, he never renewed his licensing with the state, so he hasn’t been on my roster since then.”

As always, Fox has remained silent about these news. My guess is that they are just waiting for the scandal to build up more. Will this hurt his chances of becoming an American Idol? Past scandals have had different endings. For instance Antonella Barba was allowed to continue after some racy photos appeared on the web, on the other hand Frenchie Davis was kicked out after appearing on adult websites.
