An explosion took place today at the Big Spring Refinery in Texas.  The oil refinery accident left just one worker injured. It happened around 8:30 am and was felt by residents around the area.

The explosion cause the cancellation of classes at schools and campuses, and the roads were closed because of possible future explosions.

At this time, the fire is under control, according to Firefighters.  Spokesman Blake Lewis confirms that only one person is injured, this is in a plant with 170 people that produces 70,000 barrels a day.

The big spring refinery explosion took place at 280 west of Dallas.
