Nike Trash Talk Shoe – The Garbage Shoe
Have you ever seen Zoolander? Remember the fashion show Derelict by Mugatu? Well, Nike’s taken a step forward in that direction, creating the very first shoes made of garbage: the Nike Trash Talk.

Are Trash Talk Shoes Really Made from Garbage?
Yes, the shoes are made from manufacturing waste. According to Nike rep: “It is pieced together from leather and synthetic leather waste from the factory floor using zig-zag stitching, the mid-sole uses scrap-ground foam from factory production,” and “the outsole uses environmentally-preferred rubber and incorporates Nike Grind material from footwear outsole manufacturing waste.”
That’s one real step towards eco-friendly solutions in the show business. Everything is considering the ecosystem, even the boxes they came in. By the way, maybe Nike should make ALL boxes the same – if they aren’t doing them already.
The Nike Trash Talk Shoe is a nice looking shoe by the way. They are made for basketball and inspired by Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash.
