Drag Race Accident at Accokeek, Md Leaves 7 Dead

Today a car crashed into a group of people who were supposedly gathered to watch a drag race in Accokeek, Maryland.  The terrible accident killed 7 people and injured another 4.

The accident happened around 3:40 a.m. on Route 210, after the car crashed into the crowd, a tractor-trailer came, that may have hit someone as it tried to avoid the crash.

Prince George’s County Police Cpl. Clinton Copeland said “It’s probably one of the worst scenes I’ve seen, this is a situation that could have been avoided, and it’s a very tragic situation.”

To this hour, the specific situation has not been cleared up, and according to Copeland’s own words it’s leaving “more questions than answers”

Accokeek is about 20 miles from Washington and 55 miles from Baltimore.
