Yoko Ono Angry at Lennon Murphy
Yoko Ono, widow of the late Beatle John Lennon is planning to sue the singer/songwriter Lennon Murphy who named her band Lennon. Although Lennon is just a last name, she is mad because she thinks the group is taking advantage of her husband’s name to rise to fame.

To be absolutely honest, I didn’t hear about Lennon Murphy before, but thanks to Mrs Yoko non now they have big publicity. Way to go against someone you are mad with!
Murphy claims Ono and her lawyer approved the use of the name Lennon for her debut album in 2000.
Murphy writes on her page on website MySpace: “If Yoko prevails, Lennon might never be able to tour or release records using the name Lennon.”

What is with all the suing frenzy? The man will always be a legend and remembered, no need for lawsuits and fighting. That’s what he said right? Just Imagine the world without selfish suing.
Lennon Murphy is asking for support from her fans on the Web, and a little movement has started to prevent Yoko Ono’s censorship. On her MySpace Murphy also writes:
“I just wanted everyone to know what is going on,” the singer wrote. “I never falsified my intentions, I never used John Lennon for my benefit, and I never took one cent out of Yoko’s bank account,” which, she makes sure to mention, collects the $25 million a year that the John Lennon estate brings in. “I play music, my name is Lennon,” she says.
Is also good to notice that not all John’s family thinks the same. His first son with his first wife Cynthia – Julian Lennon – has shown his support for Lennon Murphy.
